How to write a useful AI prompt
Start with the task, add the context the assistant needs, and specify the format you want back. For example: “Compare these two business ideas for a solo founder with a small budget. Use a table with costs, risks, and one low-cost test for each.” Replace the details with your own situation rather than expecting a generic prompt to know it.
Turn a starter into a better follow-up
Choose one of the 42 starters below, then ask for examples, a counterargument, or a shorter explanation. For study, ask for a quiz before seeing the answers. For creative work, state the audience, tone, and constraints. For factual questions, verify important claims against original sources; a confident AI answer can still be wrong.
Access and sensitive information
The prompt library and core reasoning, synthesis, and creative chat modes are available on the Free plan. Live web search and persistent memory require Pro access. New paid subscriptions are temporarily paused. Existing subscriptions are unaffected. Avoid including passwords or unnecessary personal information; encouragement prompts are not a substitute for professional mental-health care.
